As an intern at Arkitema, you will be part of a design team in one of Scandinavia's largest and leading architectural firms, where you will work with experienced architects and structural engineers to solve a wide range of professionally relevant tasks.
We carry out architecture throughout the Nordic region - primarily within the segments; Housing, Learning, Business, Health, Urban Design, Culture and Infrastructure. Therefore, our assignments range from small preservation-worthy residential neighborhoods to complex super hospitals, bridges and cultural centers across Scandinavia. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to be involved in drawing the first lines, registering old building masses, supervising construction sites on ongoing projects, or modeling and detailing the many complex building details that create good construction. Our professional breadth will give you a broad understanding of the design profession and an in-depth knowledge of the workflows in the construction industry.
With us, you will be given specific drawing tasks on projects and we give responsibility to those who take it. This gives you the opportunity to define and shape your internship to suit your interests and professional profile. You will be assigned both a team and an experienced design engineer as a mentor who will guide you throughout your internship.

In addition, there will be joint site visits, study trips, etc. - all important knowledge and practical insights that will ensure you are stronger in your future career.
Construction Management Internship (Copenhagen only)In Copenhagen, we can offer 1-2 construction management internships where you will typically work on site with construction management meetings, reviewing drawings and project materials, modeling and drawing site plans, interdisciplinary coordination of contractors, etc.
TogethernessSocial events are a high priority and take place regularly for our interns at our Aarhus and Copenhagen offices. On an ongoing basis, our interns meet up with each other, out of the house on various study trips and on construction site visits etc. From previous interns, we hear that it brings great value to be able to mirror yourself in like-minded people who may have the same professional ambitions and expectations for the internship.
